Help Casey Burg and Scott Baker
Donation protected
We are trying to raise living/medical expenses for Casey Burg and Scott Baker.
Unfortunately Casey had an accident on 8/11/18. She had been swimming with her daughter and her friends at Lake Thompson. She sustained a neck/back injury after diving into shallow water which should have left her paralyzed. She has 3 broken vertebrae and has 2 bulging discs in her lower neck right above her spine. Miraculously shes regained movement in her lower half. She will be undergoing a few surgeries to fuse 5 levels of her spine and neck together. She has a possibility of regaining 80% of her mobility. Her hands are severly impacted and she may never regain past her wrist. As you can imagine she will be out of work for 6+ months all at the same time incurring more debt.
Now as for Scott Baker. He’s Casey’s better half and boyfriend of the past three years. In the spring Scott was diagnosed with ALS and had been relying on Casey for help with his at home care. Scott’s been forced to close his electrical business and was relying on Casey’s income to get by as he is physically unable to work anymore. As many already know, there is no cure for ALS and it’s a nervous system disease that weakens the muscles and affects physical function. The disease is only going to be more debilitating as time goes on.
Scott and Casey always welcome everyone into their home as if they're family. Combined they have an adventurous spirit and really enjoys being outdoors together. They have always been compassionate and generous towards others. They are both going to need all the help they can get over the next 6 months of Casey's recovery. Any donation helps tremendously . Casey, Scott, and their extended familys truly appreciate any help.
