Eye surgery and medications for Tofu
Tofu is a 9 years old Samoyed adopted by my husband and me in March 2019 from his previous owners.
Despite his age and being a senior dog, Tofu is very active. However, he has a few health issues.
He suffers from chronic dry eye (KCS) for a couple of years now. He has been on special eye medication (Tacrolimus) since we got him with. We clean, lubricate and medicate his eyes 7-8 times per day with a little success.
Before Tofu was on two eye medications: Chloroint and Amacin, but with no positive results. We would like to take him to an eye specialist (Eye Clinic for Animals Sydney) for a second opinion and perhaps surgery.
Having finished Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing, I am more aware of his condition and I can provide more complex care of Tofu's eyes.
Moreover, Tofu has recurrent ears and skin infections with vet bills higher with every visit.
He has been limping recently (right front paw) with possible x-rays and further medications.
We love him so much and we want him to have the best life possible.
