The adult Lincoln Way Area Chorale is in its 21st season. It is the purpose of the Lincoln-Way Area Chorale to serve as an outlet to enrich and enhance musical opportunities for adults in the greater Lincoln Way area. We share our love of the vocal medium through practice and performance. We strive for excellence and professionalism in all aspects of our organization and believe in service to the community through the sharing of our talents and resources.
It is a great honor to have been invited by Distinguished Concerts International New York to participate in a performance of Handel's Messiah at Carnegie Hall on Sunday, November 27. "This is an event of extreme pride for everybody and deserving of the community's recognition and support".
Our Chorale is soliciting donations to help defray the performance and administrative costs associated with this concert. The donations will also go to help fund future Chorale productions as well as our scholarship program. Please refer to our website www.lwac.com for more information. There comes a point in your life when dreams are not spun as rapidly as they are when you are young. This invitation has sparked new life into our membership. The chance to take a stage where some of the most talented musicians have stood is something most of us have never dreamed possible. It brings us such joy to use our voices to uplift our communities, we are thrilled and humbled our music has the chance to reach so many more.
So many of our members are at an age where they are living on fixed incomes. It would mean so much to us if you could help us reach our goal so that we may get to New York City to perform on the Carnegie Hall Stage with a full orchestra, a bucket list item for anyone who has ever sung in front of an audience.
