Black in the Holy Land Documentary

Donation protected
Existence is Resistance is raising funds for the filming of our new documentary Black in the Holy Land.  This film will examine the lives and experiences of the various black communites throughout Palestine and the settler state of Israel.

We first started filming the documentary in the summer of 2015 when we took a group of artists, students, dancers, poets, and musicians to tour the little known Black Palestinian community in Jerusalem.

The group also visited Holot Detention Center where Israel has been detaining and deporting African refugees and asylum seekers, we interviewed several Sudanese men who had traveled all the way to Israel only to be jailed for an indefinite amount of time.

In 2016 again the organization took down an amazing group of artists and journalists who visited cities like Jericho and Hebron as well as the Dheisheh Refugee Camp in Bethlehem.

This year we will be continuing what we started in order to wrap up filming so we can begin editing the documentary.

Please check out our previous work on youtube with our documentary Hip Hop Is Bigger Than The Occupation filmed in Palestine in 2010, below is the trailer:

All the funds raised here on this Go Fund Me page will go towards air flights to Palestine which are around $1,200 - $1,500 per person as well as to car rentals for the group to be able to travel throughout historic Palestine.  Funds will be withdrawn and deposited into my personal bank account based in New York in order to be used to purchase airplane tickets and car rentals.

Please contribute whatever amount you can here or please purchase one of our t-shirts, all funds from our shirts will also be going towards the tour. If you are unable to contribute financially, please share this page so others who may be interested can see it. Thank You.
