Exceptional Advocacy for Delaware

I am expanding my education advocacy to the schools.  Parents should always have an advocate in IEP meetings.  But sometimes parents need advocacy for other matters, such as discipline hearings or even when their child is being bullied.  In any situation, I will advocate for a Delaware student when the parent and the school can't make headway.

As the writer of Exceptional Delaware for almost four years now, I have become well-versed in Delaware education.  From laws, to regulations, to policies, to special education, to being able to decipher Delaware Department of Education reports, and more.  As well, as a special needs parent I learned how to read the federal IDEA law.

I know how to navigate the system and how to take the right steps to lead parents to solutions and not more conflict.  The school leaders know me and know I am always looking out for the best interest of students. 

I've been helping parents for years but I want to take it to the next logical level.  To do this, it will take funding.  Many parents can't afford advocates for their children so your contributions will help immensely.  Thank you!
