Everyone Deserves to Read
Tax deductible
15-20% of the U.S. population suffers from dyslexia or another language-based learning disability. This means that one in five people right here in Baltimore struggle to read. Whether it's $1 or any amount, it can make a difference in the lives of the children and adults we work with.
Your donation today could prevent a child from being bullied or ridiculed. It will help a student read a comic book, a magazine, a book, or a newspaper.
Most importantly, they will get the support that they deserve.
Dyslexia Tutoring Program is a registered 501(c)3 non-profit organization that works with low-income children and adults who are dyslexic or have a language-based learning disability. This is accomplished through a professional assessment, and if needed, tutoring by volunteer tutors whom we have trained in researched-based multi-sensory skills using the tenets of Orton-Gillingham, a method of teaching reading, writing, and spelling through supplemental programs proven to be the most effective. All of our services are FREE for the student, and we are seeking donations to continue offering free services to these underserved communities.
