I Get By With A Little Help ...

$20,766 of $5,000 goal

Raised by 476 people in 48 months
Medical expenses can certainly add up regardless of your health. But emotional support is just as important - if not equally so. That's why I'm asking for your help. Every donation, no matter the amount, will keep my head and heart up and going day by day. I was diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer August 2013 and have been on a long and difficult road since. Chemotherapy for the first six months (side effects include extreme fatigue, weakness, nausea ...) and removal of my tumor, in April 2014, followed. I'm starting a new chemo plan again soon and I am feeling alright every other weak. I may look good but I don't always feel good.

Any money collected  will go toward basic living expenses like rent, storage, gas/auto, food, phone and utilities. THANK YOU SO MUCH!

Hello! To answer most of your first questions: I am feeling fine. A little tired but taking exercise slowly. Also just getting over moving. Yes, I've moved back to South Florida - my old stomping grounds. It's great to see old friends again. And the things I used to think were negatives are hardly worth a thought now that I'm back. I start on a new chemo regimen soon but the sunshine and cool breezes and cool people will get me by in peace and comfort. For all who donated - Thank You!!

Hello friends! I hope you are all enjoying the season (Autumn is my favorite). Any fun Halloween plans? First, I want to thank all my donors who have been so generous - and all my doctors and nurses. I have just started a new clinical trial for my treatment (focusing on the stage 4 metastatic colon cancer lesions on my liver) and in a couple of months I will get scanned again so we can see if any progress has been made wth the new drugs. Unfortunately I've had great difficulty playing guitar lately because of the side effects from my previous chemotherapy (Folfox): my fingers and feet are numb. Second, I wish to humbly but actively request donations so I can stay where I am and not have to relocate. I love it here in New Rochelle and it would be much easier to stay than to move. I also want to thank Frank Wood productions and all who came out to my show at Otto's Shrunken Head in September ... I LOVE NEW YORK!

In this season of giving and communion I want to thank you all again for your donations, your continuing donations and for sharing my campaign link on your sites and pages. It is with your help that I manage to fight cancer every day. I am not as productive as I would like to be but I can still work on my music and visual art. My news is that there is going to be a change in my treatment soon. I will be having surgery the first week in January to have a pump installed in my abdomen to get chemotherapy directly to my liver –where it’s needed – potentially being more effective and reducing chemo’s negative side effects on my body in general (fatigue is a big issue for me). I did well after my tumor removal and hernia surgeries so I have no fear of this operation. I will still have treatment every two weeks like before but with your thoughts, wishes and positive energy I know I can beat the disease and make 2016 a great year. Thank You and Happy New Year!

I am back on chemo treatments as scheduled. I am stable and generally doing alright. I still need help basically because my convoluted insurance situation. But my spirits are because of all your help, support and motivation. I'm working on new music and art work and getting out when I can. THANK YOU!

I teared up when I heard about the fight you're in. The first thing I thought was "It's not my Daisy!", but it was and it broke my heart. Scott, you brought so much joy to my life during the dark teen years and many others that were just like me. I know you probably hear it a bunch, but the Spooky Kids were always able to cheer me up when I was feeling down. The music you guys gave us was so much better than any drug or alcohol and to this day fills my playlist with great memories. I love you, man! I won't say that to many people, but you made me wanna be a guitarist and that was a really big deal to me. Stay strong, Brother and know you're not alone.

Genuine, caring, kind, giving, down to earth... just a few words to describe this man. I know first hand as does my youngest daughter Julie. He took a day in her life that is special and made it so much more. What he did for her out of the kindness of his heart she will remember all her life and I could never thank him enough for it. People like this are rare. Very rare.

Scott, I always admired you growing up. Marilyn Manson the band got me through my father having stage 4 Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma and my Grandmothers Colon cancer both when I was in 6th Grade and going forward into my high school years. Without your music I'm not sure where I would have ended up. I'm just a common guy but if you ever need to talk I feel I owe it to you to be a set of ears for you. Stay positive. Tourniquet is still my favorite song to this day of all time.

Scott, Some people like Jimi Hendrix, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Jimmy Page. While these players are great they did not inspire me to pick up a guitar YOU did. So many good songs however there's not a guitar riff out there better than Cake and Sodomy is still my favourite song to play, the chugging and harmonics, it doesn't get better than that. Your unique guitar playing stands out noone sounds like you. I still am fascinated with your complete control of feedback and harmonics, and enjoy learning your songs. You're an awesome guitar god for a fan to admire. You always take the time to answer all guitar geek questions in great detail. Noone would take the time to do live broadcasts and interact with the fans like you do. Still cannot believe you did that show in London! Thank you for being dedicated and taking the time for the fans. I am still waiting for that Stuck On Evil Album to come out! All the best you truely are the greatest. Wishing you all love and support. Nick
