Replace Evan Gandy's stolen gear
Donation protected
On January 28th, Aileen Sheedy's car was broken into and thousands of dollars worth of Evan Gandy's camera equipment was stolen. None of the stolen property has turned up anywhere.
Evan works as a sound mixer and camera operator in Portland. All of his lenses and adapter were stolen. Needless to say, this makes it impossible for him to film anything and has a major effect on his livelihood.
Anyone who knows Evan knows he's one of the coolest, nicest film-makers in Portland. He's helped a lot of people in the film community, and we want to help him replace some of his stolen gear!
Unfortunately, some of his lenses were rare and virtually irreplaceable, and the amount of money lost totals to about $4,500. We chose the $2,500 mark because it seems like a realistic goal and would at least allow Evan to buy some replacement lenses - but if we can exceed that for the full amount, that would be even better!
If you can donate even $5 -- that really helps!
Below are all of Evan's items that were stolen:
- Canon 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6
- Canon 55-250mm f/4-5.6
- Canon 50mm f/1.8
- Canon 24mm f/2.8
- Sony 18-200mm f/2.5-6.3
- Topcon 3.5cm f/2.8
- Topcon 58mm f/1.4
- Topcon 10cm f/2.8
- Rokinon 85mm T1.5
- Tokina 11-16mm
- Tamron 28-75mm
- Minolta 50mm f/1.7
- Metabones Canon EF to Sony NEX adapter
- Sony A-mount to E-mount adapter
- FotodioX Topcon to EF adapter
Also, please don't tell Evan about this fundraiser! He doesn't use social media, and we'd like this to be a surprise.
I'll be giving Evan the full amount of whatever we make minus the amount that GoFundMe takes (about 8%).
This kind of GoFundMe doesn't have a deadline, however I'll be shutting this down on February 24th, so please donate before then!
