Yesterday Evan suffered severe injuries to his neck and back after falling almost 30 feet on Bishops's Peak. He was flown to Stanford where he is scheduled for surgery. Evan is currently paralyzed from the waist down but it is unknown at this time if this will be permanent.
Any help you can provide for Evan and his family is greatly appreciated. They will have a great deal of travel and hotel expenses along with extensive medical bills.
The Lalanne family has always been there for any of us in need and it will mean so much to be able to be there for them.
Thank you...Please pray for Evan and his family. We will update Evan's condition as we know more.
As required by GoFundMe and for transparency, Evan's mom, Tamara Lalanne, will receive the funds for Evan.
If you do not have anything encouraging or loving to say. Please do not say it. His family and many others are hurting very badly right now and the last thing they need are people's unnecessary and rude opinions. Please, keep them to yourself. Thank you..
Evan, I was on Bishop Peak for the first time with my 24 year old daughter the day before your fall. And I was so sorry to read of this terrible accident. Here's some encouragement: I was thrown from a horse twelve years ago resulting in injuries so severe (worst scan the doctor had ever seen) that I had temporary paralysis and a year long recovery in a body brace. Grueling. Today, at 63, I run and win 5k and 10k races. You are young, strong, determined, and surrounded by loving people. You will prevail. I feel it in my heart. But I'm here as a new friend to you and your family if you need help, or some cheer leading.....from one who knows.
I wanted to pass on some hopefully helpful advice as I know an SCI is devastating. Our daughter had a spinal cord stroke Dec 2015 and is paralyzed from the waist down. If you can get to Craig in CO, go. Also, check out Frazier Rehab in Louisville, KY. We moved from Los Angeles to KY for Frazier and our daughter has made amazing progress in the 8 months we have been here. If you want any info or direct contact info for Frazier, feel free to PM me through my daughter's page. Her Facebook page is www.Facebook.com/StandForEden It seems impossible now but it does get better. Sending positive thoughts and energy.
Evan my husband and I are praying for you and are sending you positive healing thoughts. My husband took care of you in the ER and said what an amazing, kind person you are. I know there are so many people praying for you and I want you to know that you will get through this. I have a spinal cord injury from a horse accident 18 yrs ago and only focus on what i can do not what i can't do. No matter what, your body will always continue to heal and miracles happen. My surgeons can't believe the progress I made, and you too will come out stronger than ever from this journey. It is baby steps at first, but you can do it Evan! Our love to you and your family, Lisa and Ken Starr
Thank you so much for the updates...not a minute goes by that we don't think of Evan and his family. Just know that you are all loved and supported and we have faith in his recovery. Stay strong :-) Always in our prayers...Glenn, Sheri, Naomi and Phoebe
So happy you're home Evan!! We know the challenges ahead are many, but hope that you, your doctors, family and friends will enhance your chance to get better---positive vibes coming to you!!! Teri and Craig Hubert
Evan, you are in my thoughts every day wishing you the best.
