Spring Love for 6 Bali Orphanges

In 2008, Danette May, national fitness personality, had suffered a tragic loss in her family that had left within her a gaping hole of pain. That pain propelled her to travel alone to fulfill a dream in helping out at an orphanage.
She didn't care which one, she just wanted to help. When Danette started looking online she was drawn to Bali.
She quickly learned about the difficulties in the Balinese adoption process and began to understand why most Bali orphanges are over crowded, under funded and lack consistent fulfillment of basic human needs.
Danette reached out to a few orphanages and asked what she could do. They requested simple things like clothing and food. With only two weeks before her trip, she was able to (with the help of friends and family) round up clothes and pack them into two checked luggage bags, but she wanted to do even more. She connected with corporations and collected financial donations, toys, hygiene kits- really anything a kid might want/need.
She visited a small orphanage (approx. 900 sq. feet) that housed 17 children from ages 5-18 living together in 3 bedrooms. She gifted them toys, toothbrushes, floss, inflatable soccer balls- which she adds, "they all shared and never fought over." Danette took the financial contributions and shopped for food from local markets, coming home with three huge carts filled.
Since the corruption in Bali is high, the last time Danette went baring gifts from Corporate sponsors they were almost all confiscated at the border so we are looking to individuals to help this time collecting money to take gift cards over to shop for all of the childrens' needs!
OUR GOAL-
$6000 divided between 6 separate orphanges ($2000 each)
We will hand deliver 100% of what we raise to these six orphanges.
We have been given lists from the caretakers of things the children need:
Clothes
Hygiene kits
Socks
Shoes
Food
Toys
We'd really like to wrap one gift for each child that is truly special.
Which we will buy in Bali after we arrive and meet with the caregivers.
In April 2016-end of May- My family and I are traveling to Bali, to volunteer at each of the 6 orphanes. We will be paying for all of our expenses out of our pockets plus we will be donating as well. This is a dream come true as now I get to give back to the Balinese people with my family along side me.

Not only are we going to donate food for the total duration we are there (going back to the orphanages every 2 weeks to restalk their cupboards), but we will take time to teach nutrition and exercise classes to the children, the care takers as well as the community.
