My name is Paul Smith. I've spent my life playing, recording and mixing music. An opportunity has come along for me to work for a week with Sylvia Massy, an American engineer and producer, at Studio La Fabrique in the South of France.
Mix With The Masters, a series of weeklong sessions with the music industries most celebrated engineers and producers has invited me to join Sylvia from February 6th through the 12th to work on my production skills, learn new techniques and mix projects that I am currently working on. The week costs $3180 and airfair looks to be around $1000-$1100 for a round trip ticket.
I met Sylvia at the former Sound City Studios in Van Nueys, CA when my band "the badlees" was recording a record for Polydor/A&M. It would be a dream come true to work with someone of Sylvia's caliber - I will no doubt learn skills that I'll be able to use for the rest of my life.
