Ethans Road to healing
First I would like to thank everyone for the outpouring of prayers, support and willingness to help us during this time. For those who do not know, our son Ethan was out for a walk Friday when he was hit by a car and the driver ran and left the scene. He was ejected off a bridge and fell down 30 feet which resulted in multiple serious injuries. He was airlifted to the local trauma hospital where we currently reside. He has already had 3 surgeries since 12-7-18 and has another one tomorrow and more to come. He has about 50% of his spine fractured, pelvic fracture and has an open wound on his belly. We thank God every moment that he is ALIVE with no brain damage and will walk again. We have a LONG road ahead for his recovery. We are unsure what to expect for the future and can use the financial help and prayers more than anything! Any amount is very much appreciated and no amount is too small. We do not know what it's going to cost so its hard to set a goal but please give what you are comfortable with, any amount helps us with parking fees, gas for the 40 min drive back and forth, food and to make Ethans car payments until he is able to work again. Please do not let the goal amount discourage anyone. It's only because we dont know what to put. THANK YOU AGAIN FOR THE SUPPORT! We continue to pray the driver comes forward and helps us with closure and healing this chapter of our life.+ Read More
Hey everyone who has been following, Sorry its been a little hectic and was unable to update like I wanted. We got great news.....He came Home on Christmas Eve and is doing wonderful. It took him some time to adjust to being home with his injuries but he has amazed us all. With donations we were able to get the shower bench, some reachers to help him get to things, a zero gravity chair that allows him to sit up comfortably and for longer periods. We went through everything those first couple days and finally remembered my father in law used this chair for his back issues and its helped so much! We have also been able to make his car payments stress free and now whatever bills come our way we can get ahead of. We will be closing his Go Fund me soon, right now we think it has helped us get ahead of all this. We never expected to reach the goal but I am truly amazed how close we came! We are so blessed to have had all of you in our life through this (old and new) Prayers have been the best and God is so good for saving our son that horrible night! We Love you all and forever thankful for everything!
Ethan is doing great!!! He has been walking with minimal assistance and growing stronger every day! He still has a big road ahead but he has amazed us all with his strength and will power to get back to his life. He has moments but he pushes through like a true superhero! We love you son and are so proud of you! We hope to be home Christmas eve!!!!!
Ethan was moved to an Inpatient Rehabilitation center, he has only been there a day and is doing good. His hemoglobin dropped down so we are keeping a close eye on that and praying he won't have to be transferred back to the other hospital. Thank you to everyone who is donating to help us with the travel and food expenses, his car payments until he can go back to work (at least a few months) medical equipment he will need at home and whatever bills may come our way. Hopefully they find the person who did this so we can have some peace of mind.
