Jack is a mutt who was found dumped on a highway 5 years ago. He was rescued, taken in and has become a vital part of the family.
Ten days ago (Nov. 25th), I (Megan) discovered a swollen lymph node on his neck. I did research and it said most likely a cold and as he'd been sniffly I put it down to that and had been treating it accordingly. However, the past few days the lymph node has enlardged and spread to his nose.
The pressure is difficult for him on his eye and Megan has been doing warm compresses to help alleviate it as best as she can.
Here lies the problem: I lost my job recently. I have been putting in application after application to try to get employed again, especially now that h is in need of vet care. The family in general are barely making ends meet and as we've moved to this area recently, the vets offices have clearly stated they will not work with us.
I am mainly making this for friends and family: My birthday is coming up soon (the 17th). I know some of you mentioned you wanted to do something for me for my birthday and this is what I'm asking. Even if it's $1, please, please donate so I can take him to a vet. Jack is everything to me. He's an older dog, yes, but he's such a vital part of my life and my family's lives, this would mean more to me than any kind of trinket.
If you can spread it around, please do! I just want to be able to get him looked at and see if maybe whatever it is can be drained.
