Hurricane IRMA has left her mark on the wonderful sland of St. Maarten - leaving over 80% of the island in shambles and flooding.

There is so many of our friends effected by this horrific storm. Superbikes HD has been completely destroyed! SXM Airport received devestating blows with planes tossed all over as well as heavy damage throughout their structures! The Port of St Maarten has been hit possibly the hardest with serious damage to both their `passenger and freight ports. Most of the buildings on the port have been flattened.

The Caribbean Eagles Clubhouse was also seriously hit by Irma's winds and rains. Serious damage to their roof, cracks throughout the foundation can be seen, their stage and cover was completely ripped out and the clubhouse received serious water damage. It will take alot to rebuild and salvage what they can but they are strong to say that they will rebuild! Some of the members of CE received extensive damage to their homes as well. Some had no insurance to cover such effects and the clubhouse's damage cannot be fixed without assiatance through avenues like this.

I have been speaking directly with Jane, President of the Caribbean Eagles St Maarten. They are ok but, they too, received alot of damage to their home. I thought it would be a good thing to do and start this Special Fund for the Clubhouse. Her response was..... "I want to thank ETA and their Guests for sending us so many messages of concern. We truly appreciate it! I want to thank Steve & ETA for wanting to start this fund for our clubhouse. We are all trying to gather our thoughts after this terrible storm.  Steve this is so nice of you and thanks to you all!"

This fund will go towards the rebuilding of the CE Clubhouse. I will be withdrawing the monies from GoFundMe and sending them to Jane to be allocated for this purpose.

Please we all know what the Caribbean Eagles mean to us. They have always been there for us and our guests and now I ask you all tobe there for them. G-d Bless and Thank you!

Update: having heard from Bruno last night in SXM, I'd like to share his own words of strength and positive thoughts:
"Thank you Steve. Not only that cruise ship company will decide if its appropriate to return but first our Governments have to give green lights as well...
We are all conscious how crucial our tourism industry is, it's our bread and butter. We are all eager to rebuilt and better than before.
Where is a will there is a way. You might be surprised how quick we will recover.
Nature is a beautiful thing leaves are already starting to grow back on some small bushes and trees left standing. The first flowers already blamed in front of our room."
So folks please, I ask you to show your response by donating whatever you can. Every bit helps. Thank you and G-d Bless.
