Natan's Medical College Fund
I was born in an old beat down house, no doctors; raised by a single mother with very little means. I worked my way thru high school, working during the day at the local hospital on Roatan and going to school at night, and now thanks to you I am incredibly close to becoming a doctor in the country that has been host to the murder capital of the world. No this is not a rags to riches story. This is about the incredible difference that a few good people can make.
Because of your incredible kindness, I am in my fifth year of med school. Keep in mind that in this country there is basically no student aid, no student loan program, which is largely why people like me don´t become doctors. Kids with my background; Oh the stories I could tell. But your generosity and support has made the impossible a possibility, and I just want to say thank you. Thank you so much Karl,Anna, Debbie, Tricia, Caroline, Tecie, Marlen, Taylor, Jennifer, Verna, Patti, Edward, Linda, Tony, Cherry, Jessi and so many others. Thank you so much for caring and believing, as I do, that we can make a difference.
I am so close to the end, so close to being the change we want to see in the world but I am at the hardest part. I am working very hard to make sure I Ace my classes and make you all proud of what I do not only in med school but also after med school.
I pop up from down under because I am also at the most expensive part of the program.
For over four years, I have been one of the top students at the faculty of medicine, always at the top of my class. One of the only students who does not come from wealth but who has a heart for service and is willing to learn and work hard to one day help others and make a difference in this world. Because you have helped make this possible for me.
Today I am asking you, begging you. Please help me do it again. I cannot do this without your help.
The school is advising it will take 15,000 dollars for us to get thru the next year. There is just no way I can come up with that kind of money without your help. I can make a huge difference I know I can, and I believe you will be surprised at the ripple effect of what you can do. I am working as hard as I can to make sure I pass all my classes but to figure out a way forward. I have started tutoring other students and that has helped some but I need your help.
If I can get 50 people to donate or help me raise 300 dollars, which equals 25 dollars a month, that would cover the next full, most expensive year of the medical program. I know that is a lot and you all have already chipped in a lot, but you are all I´ve got. I cannot, I refuse to quit medical school. I know you didn´t help me get this far to see me quit. I need and am depending on you.
I am in the middle of testing for this semester; I have a test in physiopathology on Wednesday, another in Clinic on Friday, and another in pathology on Monday and on and on and on. So I will be studying intensively for the next couple weeks and desperately need you to help me get the word out. Desperately need you to contribute, to share my gofundme with your friends. I need you to help me get across the finish line. I would like to encourage you to commit to donate or help raise 300 dollars or 25 dollars per month, or 90 cents per day. Anything you can do any action you can take to help provide a desperately needed doctor in our world would be greatly appreciated. Look, I am committed to make sure every dime given to me is paid forward. I am committed to being not the end result but the vessel thru which you can make a difference. A vessel unto honor.
Please, please consider helping me. I am so close and desperately need your help to get the rest of the way. Tecie set up a gofundme to help me last year and she has been kind enough to do it again this year. Please consider clicking on the link and chipping in anything, you can. Or you can go over to Solroatan.org just make sure to type Natan Webster, or Med student in the dedication line. All funds given thru Sol are tax deductible in the U.S.
Yours in love
