We have been blessed to complete shooting our campaign, what we have achieved has never been done before which will make a positive impact and help tackle the root cause of hatred and division in our communities.

Here's a little further information about the campaign:

Current Anti Terrorism Campaigns:

The current anti terrorism campaigns warn the public to report anything and anyone that may seem suspicious.

Whilst such campaigns are great to raise awareness for the public to be vigilant, these do not address the root cause of the problem or communicate with individuals who are on the paths of extremism.

Therefore there is an urgent need to create a campaign that will act as a strong visual deterrent which targets individuals who may have the will and ability to carry our acts of terror, and force them to think and reason!

Our Campaign Synopsis: 
 
We follow a young Muslim in a market place, he’s justifying his reasons for carrying out an act of terror.
As he presses the trigger (we create a VFX effect where slow down time) as the device slowly explodes our character has a doubt, he realises his actions are wrong and nor are they backed by the teachings of Islam.

Time is then turned back with the visual effect still in place, we then cut back moments before he pressed the trigger.

He realises he has been given a second chance to make the right decision and we see a change in his character who understands that causing death and destruction is wrong and will never achieve success.
Campaign Analysis:

When researching other public information campaigns, we found a common structure that involves character, cause, effect and consequence.

The same structure is implemented in every other campaign ranging from rape, online grooming, knife crime, child abuse, domestic violence amongst countless others. 

Terrorism however is dealt as a purely fear inducing and stigmatising reactionary issue where the public are put under constant pressure and responsibility is placed on them to find potential threats.

The Think! Road safety campaigns are a perfect example of how campaigns can force the audience to think about the cause, effect and consequences of not following safety protocols.

The visual construction of each Think campaigns force viewers to reflect on the value of life, importance of changing their attitude and behaviour towards their personal safety and the safety of others.

There is an urgent need to disassociate Islam from extremism and terrorism, by countering this narrative we are able to remove the justification from any would be attackers and help deter them from carrying out such devastating attacks which go against the teachings of their religion.

I'm a Muslim filmmaker who decided to pick up the camera in order to help tackle sociopolitical issues through the visual medium, my journey has lead me to become one of the leading pioneers of a camera stabilisation technology.

After serving many years in the filming industry working on big budget features, dramas and commercials I could see that it was within my reach and abilities to tackle difficult subject matters through the visual medium. 

I've put aside my career to dedicate time, energy and sold assets including my ARRI Mini cinema camera to help setup this initiative.

We are being supported by some of the most respected individuals and companies in the filming industry, this is helping us to keep some of the major costs down.
