Save Showtime Clothing Detroit
The goal of this crowd funding campaign is to help Dan and Showtime Clothing find a new location to continue the tradition of serving those who love unique apparel and instruments. Funds raised by this campaign will also go towards a grand reopening party.
Dan (The owner) is a stylist and has an impeccable eye for dressing individuals and bands in original clothing. Let's throw our coins in the fountain and make a miracle happen! Saving Dan's lifelong passion and love of serving people and contributing to this city will be a great service to the Detroit music and art scene. It's a longshot but worth it if we can keep Dan in business.
Dan did not want to accept any handouts or donations of any kind, but then I reminded Dan of how many times he has helped other people, and has to graciously accept help from others sometimes, especially his friends. This is one of those times.
Since this is Showtime's 25th year in business, Dan usually throws a free party for everyone every five years. Time to continue this tradition. This party/concert will be for all of the people who have helped keep Showtime Clothing Detroit afloat. Thank you for your time and make sure to stop by Showtime Clothing and see Dan's awesome threads and guitars!

I can't donate as money is really tight right now, but I will share on facebook.
I'm in Seattle currently but I'll be sure donate once I get back to Detroit. If you guys do end up doing a benefit concert, Terror Network would be down to play.
With all the bands Dan has helped out , a benefit concert might be in order .
I can't afford to contribute monetarily at the moment, so I have taken it upon myself to try to help promote the store in local news outlets. I have sent an e-mail to various editors and promotions officials at local television/radio stations and local magazines. The text reads as follows: "I am writing you today in hopes of finding someone, anyone, who will help to spread awareness about the plight of a local Detroit business....Showtime Clothing on Woodward Ave at I-94. The owner of this eclectic clothing store that caters to Detroit musicians, Dan Tatarian, has been a bastion of local music and business, and his shop is now struggling as Detroit improves itself as he has always advocated. Construction in the area is strangling business to his store, and it would be a crime if Detroit were to lose this type of establishment. I would be overjoyed if someone could reach out to Mr Tatarian and perhaps get behind the effort to spread the word about this fantastic business. As Detroit tries to recover from it's recent economic woes, and large scale projects fill the news, such as the new arena for the Red Wings, we cannot forget the little guy who has been plugging away and rooting for this city at ground level and making a real difference in the lives of those citizens who find their way into local establishments. Thank you for your consideration." It's a shot in the dark....but who knows if one little spark can light a fire under this project!
