Hey! The Madi White here, your friendly neighborhood  ~millennial~ trying her gosh darn hardest to figure out how THE HECK she is going to pay back her student loans in this day and age. And I know what you are thinking, ugh what is this just another scheme to avoid paying back a giant loan someone took out?? WELL SORT OF YES. But not without some kind of work and effort involved. Let me give you a little background, I'll try and shmooze you with a heartbreaking story about how my entire family died in chemical explosion on an oil rig protesting ocean pollution while I was the first generation to make it to a 4 year university and in order to become a doctor for orphaned baby seals with pneumonia but couldnt pay for my tuition because of forementioned rig kaboom.

well thats true. all of it. so just start smashing that donate button immediately.....

okay okay, only about 1% of that is true and it is the part about kind of being the first generation of my family to make it to a 4 year university.

I come from a pretty "normal" middle class family that classically got a divorce and so i, like so many other fresh out of high school college attendees, took out some student loans. Luckily, I was given a few scholarships and government grants to ease the pain of our ridiculously overpriced college education, but nonetheless I wound up $20,000 in debt. So here I am attempting to pay back my loans in half the time I am was estimated to.

I got my Bachelor of Science in Wine and Viticulture in December of 2016 from California Polytechnic State Univeristy, San Luis Obispo so that I could pursue my passion of growing and making consumable art eventually ending up with my own farm and small business that would hopefully one day bring communities together at one big table full of food and drink and love and craft and art. That dream WILL happen one day but right now, fresh out of college, my meager hourly rate as a cellar rat has me scraping by to just pay my regular bills. Not to mention that I dropped all health insurance because it was out of my budget. *sigh* classic millennial problems amirite???

But I digress, the point of this lil campaign is to try and convince you to help me pay off my remainder debt by donating a single dollar bill in exchange for a small piece of postcard art that I will handcraft especially for YOU. Im calling it an entrepreneurial endeavor. I will sell you high quality premium ~exclusive~ art, that should be worth THOUSANDS just due to simple supply and demand economics but instead you get this genuine madiwhite art FOR A FRACTION OF THE PRICE! WOWEE.

~~~I actually got this idea from an article I read on NPR about a kid in 1987 who crowdfunded his college education by getting 2.8 million people to give him a penny, and it worked! Check it out here: https://www.npr.org/2014/09/06/346155274/the-kid-who-crowdfunded-his-college-education-in-1987
The idea is that if I can just get 20,000 people to send me $1 for a postcard then it is a freaking done deal! My student debt is taken care of and I can finally start investing back into our economy with my hard earned cash without the burden of that $230 I would have been sending the government each month for the next 12 years. Doesnt it feel good to know you would be helping an aspiring small business owner achieve her dreams AND you would get a SWEET AS HECK postcard?!?!? It feels good, trust me. Just think of the fridge potential!
This is worth it. Heck! I will even write you a small poem as a token of my gratitude for believing in me and helping me achieve my goals.
Thank you for your time and consideration. This is simply purchasing a small piece of art to help a recent graduate who found herself in this new era of college administrators thinking they can hike up tuitions 300% every single year without giving faculty raises or updating any facilities or supplies so they can be nice and comfy with their fat salary increases. Oh did I let that slip? >.> whoops.
*******Don't forget to include your name and address in the note line so I can make it ~real~ personal.
Love ya! Thanks!
