Endang's Battle with Renal Failure

Donation protected
This is a story about my Sister-in-Law Endang Suslash. Her and my brother met in Taiwan, while he was traveling through Asia one summer. The two of them fell in love almost instantly, and were soon inseparable. Although not on his list of countries to tour, he found himself meeting Endang's Family, in her home Country of Indonesia. After meeting Endang's family, Patrick planned to bring Endang to Canada to meet his family, as they knew they planned to marry. A couple days before leaving for Canada, both my brother and Endang became seriously ill with what they thought was a flu. My brother Patrick recovered but she did not. They survived the longest and most treacherous plane ride of their lives, Endang hanging on by a thread to make it to Canada, so sick and weak she could barely walk. As soon as they landed she was admitted to hospital here, and the diagnosis was grim: kidney failure. Why? We don't know. The timing was absolutely impeccable. A couple met, fell in love, made plans to be together and then one of them is handed a terminal life sentence. Endang has lived in Canada for two years with my brother and my parents, going to dialysis every week to keep her alive. They got married two years ago in June. During this time they had been working on their documents and paperwork to grant her citizenship. Today we found out the most gut wrenching news possible. Her request for permanent residence was denied, and she has to go back to Indonesia. There is little to no options for health care for her there, and treatment options are grim. The dialysis equipment used in their hospitals is not nearly as effective, and the quality of her care would be very poor. Each treatment has to be paid for out of pocket in cash. Money that her family, nor mine has. We want to fight for her to stay in Canada, and get her kidney transplant so they can continue their life together. We are scared for the uncertain and what could happen if she has to go back. We don't have the funds for treatment there. If she goes back she is not allowed to apply to come back to Canada for another year. If Endang doesn't receive dialysis every other day she could very easily not survive. Help is something we don't like to have to ask for, but it’s something we need desperately as we fight for her precious life.  No amount of gratitude can describe our thankfulness for anything you can do to help this dire situation. Thank you, Karalee For Endang Suslash *** Please note, if the Canadian government grants Endang's appeal to stay in Canada, all proceeds of this gofundme will be donated to the kidney foundation of British Columbia.
