End Campus Assault/Harassment

Hello, my name is Ariana and I am creating an initiative that would help colleges recognize their actual statistics on Sexual Assault/Harassment as well as create a group that will allow survivors of assault to come forward in a safe environment to express their emotions as well as their stories. In my freshman year of college, I heard stories from friends who have faced sexual assault on campus and was shocked to hear how frequently it occurred, how when it was reported the institution would try to cover it up, and how most of these survivors were and still are scared to report it because they are worried about not being listened to and they don't want this to be the thing to define them or follow them into the future. After hearing all of this, my goal was to create something that will allow survivors of assault to be listened to. A place they could come to for solace and a place that will help the institution do something about the issue. The money raised will allow me to help these survivors in anyway possible, whether it be hospital fees, legal fees, as well as services that will help better their mental health after going through this traumatizing event.  Everything raised here will go to them for their betterment to show them that there are people out there that are willing to listen and help them. The funds raised will be managed by me and I know with your support, change will be made. This campaign is part of the 2018 Clinton Global Initiative University Commitments Challenge. Thank you.
