Encore - Artists of Madison Ballet

After the financial hardship leading to the early cancellation of the 2015/16 Madison Ballet season, there is finally a glimmer of hope. The dancers are committed to pursuing their careers- even if it means banding together and putting on a show out of their own passion and commitment to local arts. We are a diverse group of professionally trained dancers attempting to enhance Madison’s dance scene and make ballet more accessible to the growing local audience for the future. A large portion of this project is being mounted thanks to local supporters and volunteers, and it is the artists’s goal to keep ballet in the minds of Madison’s audiences by showcasing their talents through performance and original choreographic works.  The dancers are reaching out to the community in hopes of raising money to benefit dancers and those involved in the show.  Please show your support for these amazing artists. It is needed now more then ever.

There are a large and varied number of costs involved in mounting any production. In normal circumstances you have your dancers wages, your choreographer fees, the cost of renting the theater and the wages of the stagehands, the cost of costumes, lighting, and numerous other costs.  These things add up!!  We are asking for community support.  The goal of this page is first and foremost to cover our overhead expenses.  All additional funds will go towards the dancers and choreographers, as well as towards thanking our volunteers.
