Ems MS journey

Emma is my 37 year old daughter who has diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis in 1998, when she was first diagnosed she had Relapsing MS which in the last year has progressed to Primary Progressive MS, within this year she has gone from being independent to now living at home with me as her full time carer (which I had to give up my job for ) with weekly help from nurses as she requries a walking frame and wheelchair, her mobility issues means that she falls often and can not be left alone.

Emmas main goal is to have this treatment so that she can halt and hopefully reverse some of the damage so that she can continue living at home and not be forced into a nursing home, at this stage without treatment she will have to move into a nursing home with the next year

This treatment is designed to reset your immune system and halt the progression and activity of multiple sclerosis.

Her own stem cells will be collected and frozen before high-dose chemotherapy is given, and then returned to her body intravenously, after the high-dose chemotherapy, to replace the stem cells/immune system that were destroyed.

The funds that we raise will be used to pay the $30,000 USD inpatient hospital fee for the HSCT treatment and for flights for myself and Emma (as she needs a carer to travel with her) 

We have a confirmed date in India for the 4 March 2017 which needs to be paid for on the 4 Feb 2017, so far we have raised $17,000 through fundraisers, Dinner Functions and Sauage Sizzles. 

We would be greatful for any help to keep Emma at home and up walking so she can have an improved quality of life and continue to enjoy the rest of her long and beautiful life with family and friends who love her.
