Starting Over

If life were a metaphor, my friend Paul would have fallen out of the bad luck tree and hit every branch on the way down. He's an adventurer and in the almost 12 years I've know him, he's been a little bit of everywhere - New York, Kansas, Germany (to name a few). Now, he just wants to go home. 
    At the moment, his truck has broken down for the last time and he is stranded in Oregon. He dreamed of owning his own truck so he could haul loads cross country and see all the sites, but unfortunately, reality doesn't always meet expectation. Every single thing that can break on a truck has broken and often on a monthly basis. Every time he felt like he was catching up financially, his windshield would shatter, or his tire would fall off, or his axle would drop out on the highway.
     The little house on the little piece of land he bought in Texas is now unlivable as all the unexpected time and costly truck repairs left the tragic fixer upper exposed to the elements. All that's left is a little camper on a piece of land with no power and no water. His company is going to give him a ride "home" but his truck will be repossessed along with his trailer. He has nothing to show for the last 3 years except a huge pile of truck repair bills.
     With $11,000 Paul could restore power and water to his piece of land. He could repair his remaining vehicle and use it to start driving for Uber. And, he can buy a modest used school bus and turn it into a home. With $11,000 Paul could start over with a new dream and finally be home.
   Any money you can spare would be deeply and immensely appreciated and I know, that once Paul is back on his feet, he will more than pay it forward.
