Wheelchair Accesible Van for Emily

URGENT: On behalf of my daughter Lisa Richer and her husband Julien (Choo) Richer I am hoping to raise $40,000.00 for a used wheelchair-accessible van for their daughter Emily. But I can’t do it alone. I NEED YOUR HELP!!! I am Julie Carpenter, Emily's grandmother.
Emily was born with CCHS ( CONGENITAL CENTRAL HYPOVENTILATION SYNDROME) which is a rare neurological disorder that affects 1 in 50,000 children. Basically her brain doesn’t tell her to breathe when she falls into a deep sleep. She also has low muscle tone therefore cannot sit up, stand, crawl or walk. She is like a newborn baby at 15 years old. She is also developmentally delayed and suffers multiple seizures daily. She is blind, g-tube fed, had to have a tracheotomy at 3 months old in order for her to breathe. She cannot breathe on her own without a ventilator, needs 24/7 medical care.
Her parents Julien (Choo) and Lisa Richer have devoted themselves completely to caring for their daughter. They have their hands full and so grateful to everyone who has stepped up to help them in any way they could so far.
But now their 2007 van that they have has become unreliable to get Emily to and from sicks kids in Toronto and Sudbury, Ontario.
Over the course of 15 years, others have organized several fundraising efforts for medical supplies and much needed financial help. But now your help is needed once again.
This van would ease many strains for both Emily and her parents, especially with continuous trips from Massey to Toronto Hospital for Sick Children and Sudbury Hospital for medical appointments.
Having a better van would make a huge difference in their lives.
