Emily competed in the 11-12 yr division of the Australian Age Division Golf Championships at Yeppoon in April. At the end of three fantastic days she was crowned Age Division Champion.
She has now qualified for the Australian team to compete in two tournaments in America - the World Stars of Junior Golf in Las Vegas and the West Coast Junior Olympics in Los Angeles. Both of these events take place during July 2016.
Whilst it's a great honour to be selected to play in an Australian team, we get no assistance with the costs associated with the trip, therefore all flights, accommodation etc. must be covered by us. This is a very unexpected trip, something that we just hadn't even considered, so unfortunately we are struggling to find the funds to get Emily there.
This could be a once in a lifetime opportunity for Emily to participate in tournaments such as this, so we are determined to ensure she is able to take advantage of what she has achieved.
As a family we would be so grateful for any assistance received to help Emily compete in America as we have no doubt she would be a great representative for Australia and get an awful lot out of this amazing opportunity.
