Our beloved mother Elly James Paulos passed away on March 10th, 2019 at her home in Salt Lake City, Utah. Born in Salt Lake City, Utah in 1954 to Harriet Floor Paulos and James A. Paulos, Elly went on to have three children to whom she devoted her life.
Elly was a fiery, devoted and amazing mother, working her entire career as a Mortgage professional. She loved to golf, and go on vacations with her kids when she wasn't playing Mahjong on her iPad watching Lifetime Original Movies.
While blunt, dry-humored and stubborn (she is Greek, after all), she was the kindest woman a child could ask for. She is the gold standard for selflessness. She put her children before anything else in the world, and it made them better human beings for it.
She is preceded in death by her parents, James and Harriet, as well as her brother Tally Paulos. She is also now reunited with her late son, Anthony M. Colosimo. Elly is survived by her brother George Paulos and family, and her children and their spouses, Jayme Colosimo and Ryan Cash, and Mario and Kristin Colosimo.
Viewing services will be held Thursday, March 14th at Prophet Elias Greek Orthodox Church (5335 S Highland Drive) at 6-8pm, with a Trisagion service at 7pm.
Funeral will be held Friday, March 15th at Prophet Elias at 10am, proceed by the burial at Mt. Olivet Cemetery (1342 E. 500 S).
