Ellen Larned Museum Roof

Tax deductible
The Thompson, CT Historical Society is raising funds to replace the 114 year-old Spanish-tile roof on the  Ellen Larned Museum. This building has served the citizens of Thompson for more than a century and is now in need of a roof. The building, listed on the National Historic Register, was constructed in 1902 through the efforts of Ellen Larned, famed historian and first female member of the prestigious Connecticut Historical Society.  The funds will be used to remove the current roof, salvage the usable tiles, repair and replace the underlayment and reinstall the tile, replacing damaged or non-usable tiles. This project will insure the building can be used for generations to come.
