This year I have been lucky enough to have been chosen to represent Great Britain women's cycle speedway team in Australia for the 2017 world tour! (This is a biannual event) Unfortunately cycle speedway is not funded and this is an expensive trip so I feel it’s time to ask for some help.
I am 17 and have been competing in cycle speedway for 5 years; I have come a long way in this time winning various events. I raced for Great Britain in the Federation cup meeting in 2015 which we won, I was also a reserve in the test series between Great Britain and Australia, and this was won by Great Britain. This year I came 6th in the ladies European championships and 4th in both the indoor and outdoor women’s British championships. I have also come 2nd in the girls British Youth and Junior League and have been part of the Leicester Monarchs ladies team, who have won the women’s British club championships for the past 11 years, and the Leicester Monarchs team who won the division 2 title this year.
Please help me get to Australia to represent my country; any donations would be greatly appreciated.
