Welcome to the campaign!
We have found hope in educating the public about substance use disorder. We are currently in Phase Two of our organization which involves securing funds for services in our Akron Full Healing Sober House as well as fundraising and grant writing for facilities in Medina County. We are hoping to secure what we need to run a healing farm that will allow our clients the opportunity to heal with a family run farm atmosphere. This is a dream that our founder, Rose Marie, would like to see in our near future. We are faith-based and believe that Jesus is the Healer of all Ills. We also are a proponent of the 12 Steps of Recovery. We have stories of full healing from prayer and learning to turn our lives over to the care of Jesus as our Lord and Savior. The Elijah's Truth Foundation, a 501c3 nonprofit organization, was founded in 2015 by Rose Marie Muhl. When Rose nMarie needed to leave her teaching job of 27 years due to the long-term, life-altering effects of a brain tumor, she felt hopeless and lost. Teaching had been more than just a career for her; it was her passion! However, God had other plans for her talents and gifts He gave her. She was to begin Elijah's Truth Foundation and lead it and others to healing and recovery from disease and addiction .
Through her journey to discover this purpose or calling on her life, she found a cause that spoke to her. She is compelled and driven to help those struggling with Substance Abuse Disorder and their families. She has poured her life savings into the creation and growth of Elijah's Truth. The foundation currently has 1 sober house, and Rose Marie has spent countless hours lovingly restoring and furnishing it to make it a beautiful haven of healing for those in need. She took something forgotten and dilapidated and turned it into a serene and safe place for those in recovery! She does not do this alone, but with God's help and yours!

Hello! My name is Rose Marie Muhl. I am begging you to help me. I have taken my retirement out of the bank early and decided to use much of it to help the poor, addicted and suffering of this world. I work every day for this cause without pay as of today. I realize I will not be able to do this forever, but I do believe that there are other souls on this planet who believe like me that we as humans have a deep need to make a difference or have a purpose of good for our lives. I believe we are not living just for our own comfort and to collect storehouses of money or things while others around us are dying of diseases or suffering needlessly because they don't have what they need. I want to answer the call God has on my life to teach others how to love and give their minds, hearts and bodies to HIM.
So after I experienced a profound spiritual awakening, I created Elijah's Truth Foundation. This dream is about meeting the needs of those who can't meet their own needs or speak well for themselves or for those families who are suffering because their child or loved one has either died of a disease =- esp overdoses of varying drugs or alcohol, or they are still in need of support because of the devastation of the grief upon them. Some of our families have severe PTSD from their situations. Our organization restores hope and love back to a once completely lost and hopeless life.

Some small things I (we) do right now seems to put a Sweet little trickle of hope and love into the pool of this widespread Heroin epidemic. For example, I (we)will go to court, help find addicts or family members who are lost and might be on the street homeless or kicked out from sober living facilities that were not equipped to house them. I (we) will find a house or treatment facility for them if possible, pray with them, and whenever we are able to, we educate them, their family and the community about ways to relieve our neighbors of some of this suffering. If asked and if it is prudent to do so, I (we) sometimes pay utility or phone bills, buy beds, sheets, blankets, food, houses, signs, banners, gas, cars, and then ask for and collect donations either cash or in kind - whatever it takes to heal a family that is suffering.
Giving families and those who are ill a leg up so they can walk out and help another. That is the goal. Pay it forward.! This is what we do and what we want to continue to do.
It is a lofty ideal, but with great faith - I believe we make a difference.. one tiny drop of love moves things a day at a time. It only takes a small trickle or a drop of water to eventually fill a bucket. This is the same when helping others or donating to us. With this campaign and other fundraising and grants, I expect to have many buckets filled! So if you would please keep the trickle of your donations coming! No donation is too small or goes unnoticed. Large donations are extremely helpful and providential for our foundation goals.
I personally promise to make it good and I promise to grow this work of love to the very best of my ability. I have a history of living with pain and suffering and my empathy and compassion rise up from deep within my soul.
The work I am doing is God's Work and completely driven by my faith in HIM, Jesus Christ. Thank you for your time.
