Brandon needs no introduction and will probably get pissed off knowing we set this up to help him out. But, his hospital bills are already stacking up and every little bit helps. He is one of the realist and most genuine humans around, and a brother to many.

Brandon had a BASE jumping accident in Utah on Friday, September the 12th and slammed really hard. He was transported to Utah Valley Regional Hospital in critical condition, but is now stable and doing much better. He had an issue with his chute after it deployed and hit the wall of the cliff a number of times which caused his parachute to collapse and sent him falling down the face of the mountain. He has some major head trauma and some broken bones that will heal. We are just trying to get him more stable so we can deal with a couple of things immediately and get him transported closer to home for his full recovery. Thanks so much for all the support. He got really lucky and is in good spirits! Lets help him out so he can focus fully on his recovery and not worry about his bills.

Greetings all.

Quick update on Brandon...
He is out of surgery and recovering. The surgery went great, they replaced his valve and fixed the aneurysm. The surgeon was able to do a smaller cut which will make for an easier overall recovery. He is stable, breathing on his own and everything looks good.

However, in true Lillard style...he is being hard headed and stubborn fighting the breathing machine. The worst is over now...onto the road to recovery!

Thank you all for the continued love and support.

Just a quick update...Brandon has been cleared for surgery from the Neuro team and we are traveling to the Cleveland Clinic today in preparation for his surgery on 11/20/14. Cleveland Clinic has been #1 in heart care for 15 years so he is in the BEST hands there. The surgeon he is seeing specializes in combined valve and aneurysm surgery and Brandon has already let him know he needs the extra special bulletproof parts ; ) they reassured him he will be 100% in no time. So there is a light at the end of the tunnel, please continue to keep him in your thoughts and prayers as we approach this last hurdle, I know it helped get him here today. THANK YOU. I will do my best to keep everyone up-to-date with his recovery. - Lyndsey

First of all i want to Thank each and every one of you for having my back and supporting me through a very strange time! Yes i had an accident . it was no ones fault and i take 100% responsibility for me crashing. well Maybe there was a higher power involved too because this accident is actually ending up saving my life. as you can see on a previous update they scanned me and found a genetic heart artery problem that they would have never checked me for during a regular doctor visit. this is 100% not related to my crash but was detected because of it. The Cardiac doctor gave me 1 year to live if this isn't fixed. the good news is it is a very common surgery and an easy fix! the bad news is I'm scared shitless of the saw blade that is going to go through my sternum to get to the problem. The doc said after they fix it i will be 100% and the artery will be stronger than it has ever been in my life. i said i wanted to be able to take a tyson punch to the heart and he said no prob. hahaha. so yes i might be the luckiest base jumper in the world because of this strange twist of fate and all of your generous help. I owe all of you a huge thank you, THANK YOU!!!!! and my insurance company a huge something else. they decided that none of my hospital bills would be covered because they don't like parachutes. Crazy right? so thank you for all the help ! i never expected anything like this and all of you have gone to a level of amazing human i hope i can reach one day. THANK YOU!! there is no way for me to reach out to a lot of you on here and it doesn't show contact info so please anyone feel free to reach out to me at brandonlillard1@gmail.com i would love to thank you personally . and last i have to thanks all the guys and girls that literally saved me Jason Kimball, Travis Pastrana, Erik Roner, James Smith, Dusty Wygle, Collin Lund, Micah Anderson, and Lyndsey Roach for everything. there are a ton more and i thank you all!!!
Thank you

THANK YOU to each and every one of you who have visited Brandon, shared this fundraiser, donated, sent love, prayers and support.

If you know Brandon you know that slowing down and healing is a challenge in itself but he is doing amazing and improving everyday. He has a left brain trauma that effected his equilibrium and right side coordination. He is now walking on his own and getting stronger every day. It also effected his short term memory and cognitive thinking but that too is improving. We have followed up with Neurologists here in San Diego who are monitoring his recovery. As some of you may know, the blessing in disguise in all of this is when Brandon was admitted to the ER in Utah he was unconscious so the trauma team there did a full body CT scan to find that he has an ascending thoracic aortic aneurism that will require open heart surgery ASAP. This was not injury induced but something that has developed overtime. These things do not have any symptoms or warning signs so he is so very lucky they found this and it can be repaired. We have been doing everything possible to heal his brain ASAP (acupuncture, supplements, rehab, glutathione IV’s) as the Neuro team will work with the Heart Surgeon to determine the best time for Brandon to have this operation.

The love, support and positive thoughts go a long way...THANK YOU.

I am recovering from a cliff strike of my own (MRIs CT scans -surgery on my left foot -not fun) and know how bad it sucks. Bills suck even more. I am glad you are alive! I know I shouldn't be and it sounds like you wouldn't be soon if you didn't crash, so thank God for that odd twist. Good luck with the surgery bro. BSBD
