Elderly victim of violence in need

My grandfather has been a Fairfield resident for 60+ years. He has worked in the community and retired locally from Fairfield Tire Center after working there for over 40 years!

I am looking to see if anyone in the community can help. He recently was a victim of a horrible act of violence. On Wednesday Sep 19th 2018 he was stabbed by a homeless man, who was an felon in a restaurant while eating lunch with his wife. 

Him and his wife had to walk to the restaurant. This may not have happened if he had a car and was able to go through the drive-thru or bring it home. He is an amazing man and would give you the shoes off his feet to help. No one deserves this! 

He was able to mostly walk and use public transportation to get where he and his wife needed to go but after this attack he is not able to get very far on foot. I would like to raise the money to help him buy a car so he can get to medical appointments as well as everyday errands and pay his medical bills.
