Law Enforcement Exploring is an action-oriented, hands-on career discovery program focused for teens interested in law enforcement.
This summer, thousands of Law Enforcement Explorers and Advisors from around the nation will have the chance to experience a week of competitions, seminars, exhibits, recreation, and more. The 2018 NLEEC event will be hosted on the beautiful Purdue University campus in West Lafayette, Indiana from July 16 to July 20, 2018. The NLEEC is hosted every two years for a period of about 10 days, and we have been taking our Explorers to these amazing conferences for over 30 years. It is not only a great learning experience but relationships, bonds and memories are forged that will be with them forever.
We are reaching out to you in an effort to raise much needed funds, currently we are planning to take over a dozen of our hard working members. We train hard and look forward the National Conference every two years, it is a unique and amazing adventure. However, this is a costly endeavor and we are not funded by the Police Department, we rely on volunteers, donations and working details to help support our non-profit organization. The Explorers have been working very hard to raise funds so they can attend the NLEEC with details like Somers Point BayFest, ACUA’s Earth Day, Pumpkin Run, GreekFest, The Haunted Hayride and many other events throughout the county. If you have been to a few events in our community, you likely have been assisted by our Explorers.
We are looking to raise at least $10,000 to assist us in funding our program and allowing us to compete in The National Conference. We are a legitimate 501(c)(3) tax exempt organization. The money that is raised will be used for travel, lodging, food, activities and equipment purchases for all team members that will participate. Thank you for investing in our young people and in future Law Enforcement.
