Imagine this: you’re preparing to welcome your third child into the world and money is tight. You begin looking for a more affordable rental home. What ends up happening is that you have to move out of your current home and the home search is stalled because the $2,800 you saved for applications, credit checks, deposits, one and a half months’ rent and moving costs is gone.
That’s what happened to Josh Eisman and his family. This GoFundMe project will replace the funds that were lost so they can settle in another home.
Competition for rental homes in southern California is fierce. After spending hundreds of dollars on application fees and credit checks without landing a deal, the Eismans switched to an agency, found an affordable place, paid the deposit and first month and a half of rent, gave their current landlord notice and prepared to move.
Then the agency called, asking for a reference. Josh’s current landlord said he doesn’t do that, and the prospective landlord cancelled the deal. But it didn’t stop there. The agency withheld nearly $2,000 for lost rent and the cost of putting the house back on the market.
The clock is ticking, and the Eisman family needs a miracle in 14 days. Let’s be God’s hands and feet on this one. Any amount you can contribute is graciously welcomed.
