Olympic Family Support Fund
We are raising money for our four family members that are going to Brazil to watch and support TEAM USA Rhythmic Gymnastics Group member, Kiana Eide, represent the United States of America at 2016 Olympic Games.
17 year old Kiana has dedicated her life to Rhythmic Gymnastics since age 4. Her dream was to make the National Team for Rhythmic Gymnastics.
About 3 years ago, our family was facing a difficult decision. Kiana was called up to work out with the Senior National Group. They train in Deerfield Illinois. This required her to move from St. Francis MN to Northbrook Illinos leaving family and friends behind for the possibility of making the team.
Kiana Eide and her father, Troy Eide made the move to Northbrook Illinois in pursuit of her dream of being a member of Team USA Rhythmic Gymnastics Group. Her mother, Lolita, and older sister, Celine, stayed in St. Francis MN. Troy and Lolita have been married for 21 years so far. This move was and still is difficult financially and emotionally. Renting a one bedroom apartment in Northbrook, her father sleeps in the living room as Kiana has the only bedroom. Troy had to find a new job as a truck driver. He is currently working for UPS as a truck driver but it takes four years to get to top pay scale. The cost of training are also spendy. Traveling frequently to St. Francis MN also is an added cost.
Kiana has had an incredible three years with TEAM USA Rhythmic Gymnastics Group. They have competed all over the world. In 2015, they won one GOLD MEDAL and two SILVER MEDALS at the Pan American Games!!! In the fall of 2015, they went to Stuttgart Germany for World Championships and qualified for the 2016 OLYMPIC GAMES!!!
This is a once in a lifetime experience for all of our family to see her represent the United States at the Olympics. The costs are very expensive though.
Flight price per person is $860.00
Hotel rooms are $650.00 per night
Closing ceremony tickets are $900 each.
Event tickets are $180
Final event tickets are around $170 each
These prices are per person. We have four family members going.
