Ego(s) In the Sky Short Film

I am a visual artist and writer from Buena Park, California, currently transitioning into film-making. I fell in love with many aspects of film after viewing works by Kahlil Joseph and Bradford Young, my passion has been welling since.

This request for funding exists because I have a narrative short film in production as the writer &director, with Kayla Reefer as the director of photography.

Ego(s) in the Sky features a cast and crew of young artists of color. The film is an adaption of Los Angeles musician &vocalist, Emmanuel Coto's recording, "Ego in the Sky," and is loosely based on the life of friend, Cedric Ford, 23-year old father &skateboarder. The film works around the dynamic of the separation from his son &the lines of bleakness &imagination blurring.

Synopsis: A young man (Cedric) escapes the confines of reality with guidance from a Sage (Coto).

However, productions require budgets &we'd love for you to help us bring our film to life! Funds will be allocated to renting equipment such as, lenses, lighting kits &shoulder rigs. Other modes of funding &equipment donations are also being sought!
