Hello everybody! I am Vladimir and I am appealing for your help to save my 26-year-old brother Edmond’s life who battles a rare form of cancer. The research that is a part of his treatment will also help find a cure for many other people fighting the same devastating disease.
Our happy and peaceful life turned into a nightmare. First Edmond started to experience back pains, followed by tremor in legs: it took him effort to hold his body on his legs. The medical results were discouraging. It turned out that the spinal C6C7 TH1 bones had been infected, broken and placing pressure on the spinal cord resulting in a spinal cord compression. Paralytic symptoms followed the diagnosis. My cheerful, sociable and goal-oriented brother’s life turned into a life-or-death struggle.
With our friends’ help we managed to collect 65,000 Euros. On March 30 Edmond was operated on in Germany. The infected vertebrae were removed and replaced by implants, and the back part of the tumor was sent for histology with a hope to finally find out the nature of the tumor and the methods of treatment.
The tumor was malignant but the histology results contained contradictory data which meant the form of tumor could not be accurately defined. We were recommended to do regular check-ups and decide upon our further actions based on how the cancer progressed.
At the end of July the CT showed that while there were no metastases, the tumor had increased in size. In September it had grown enough to be visible to the naked eye. The biopsy carried out in Belarus failed to give more specific results.
At the moment the tumor is even bigger. Putting together all the data, the doctor who operated on Edmond recommends a complex treatment which will cost around 70000 Euros. The treatment will include chemical therapy, proton therapy and surgical intervention.
Seeing Edmond joyful again is our greatest aim; while from medical perspective, studies and treatment of this rare form of tumor can save numerous lives in the future and provide answers to yet obscure questions.
Unfortunately, we’ve almost completely run out of our financial means, and I have thus to turn to all of You for your support. With your help we’ll make sure that the lack of money doesn’t delay or simply prevent Edmond’s healing. I’ll be extremely thankful to you for any kind of support.

Մեր խաղաղ ու երջանիկ կյանքը վերածվեց մղձավանջի: Սկզբում Էդմոնդի մոտ սկսեցին մեջքի ցավեր: Հետո սկսեց ոտքերի դողէրոցք, մարմինը դժվարությամբ էր պահում ոտքերի վրա: Հետազոտության արդյունքները հուսադրող չէին : Պարզվեց, որ պարանոցի C6C7 TH1-ի ոսկորները ախտահարված են, կոտրվել են և ընկել ողնուղեղի վրա՝ առաջացնելով ողնուղեղի կոմպրեսիա: Շուտով սկսվեցին պարալիտիկ պրոցեսներ: Կենսուրախ, անմիջական ու նպատակասլաց եղբորս կյանքը վերածվեց կյանքի ու մահու պայքարի:
Ընկերների օգնությամբ հավաքեցինք անհրաժեշտ 65.000 եվրոն: Մարտի 30-ին Էդմոնդին վիրահատեցին Գերմանիայում: Հանեցին վնասաված ողերը և տեղադրեցին իմպլանտներ, իսկ առաջացած գոյացության հետևի հատվածը ուղարկեցին հիստոլոգիայի՝ ակնկալիքով, որ ի վերջո կպարզվի ուռուցքի տեսակը և բուժումը:
Ուռուցքը չարորակ էր, սակայն պատասխանի մեջ կային հակասական տվյալներ, որի պատճառով միարժեք չէր որոշվում ուռուցքի տեսակը։ Մեզ առաջարկեցին պարբերաբար ստուգումներ անցկացնել և ըստ ուռուցքի զարգացման որոշել հետագա անելիքները։
Հուլիսի վերջին հերթական հետազոտությունը ցույց տվեց, որ թեև մետաստազներ չկան, բայց ուռուցքը բավականին մեծացել է: Սեպտեմբերին ուռուցքն արդեն այնքան էր մեծացել, որ անզեն աչքով էր երևում:Հոկտեմբերին Բելառուսում արված բիոփսիան ևս արդյունք չտվեց։
Այժմ ուռուցքն ավելի է մեծացել: Էդմոնդին վիրահատող բժիշկը, համադրելով բոլոր տվյալներն, առաջարկում է սկսել համալիր բուժում, որի համար անհրաժեշտ է մոտ 70000 եվրո: Բուժումը ներառելու է քիմիաթերապիա, պրոտոնային ճառագայթման թերապիա և վիրահատական միջամտություն։ Մեզ համար ամենակարևորը Էդմոնդին նորից կենսուրախ և առողջ տեսնելն է, մինչդեռ բժշկության տեսանկյունից այս բացառիկ գոյացության ուսումնասիրությունն ու բուժումը ապագայում կարող է բազմաթիվ կյանքեր փրկել և տալ մինչ օրս անորոշ բաց հարցերի պատասխաններ։

Այժմ ուռուցքն ավելի է մեծացել: Էդմոնդին վիրահատող բժիշկը, համադրելով բոլոր տվյալներն, առաջարկում է սկսել համալիր բուժում, որի համար անհրաժեշտ է մոտ 70000 եվրո: Բուժումը ներառելու է քիմիաթերապիա, պրոտոնային ճառագայթման թերապիա և վիրահատական միջամտություն։ Մեզ համար ամենակարևորը Էդմոնդին նորից կենսուրախ և առողջ տեսնելն է, մինչդեռ բժշկության տեսանկյունից այս բացառիկ գոյացության ուսումնասիրությունն ու բուժումը ապագայում կարող է բազմաթիվ կյանքեր փրկել և տալ մինչ օրս անորոշ բաց հարցերի պատասխաններ։
