Peace, love, and light universal family. So, we just go back from 127th annual the White House Easter Egg Roll, which also happened to be a very special day for the first lady's Lets Move! Initiative, being the 5th anniversary. We were invited out by the executive director of 'Lets Move!' to rock our Culinary Concert on the chef's stage along with Bobby Flay, Sunny Anderson, Gail Simmons, Chris Cosentino, and Aaron Sanchez. So dope and Captain Planet. He even came and rocked the stage with us!

WATCH OUR TEDx MANNATTAN TALK

We were invited to do a talk at this year's Tedx Manhattan at the New York Times Center. EPIC. This year's Tedx Manhattan topic was "Changing the Way We Eat".  Cody ChesnuTT joined us onstage to perform our latest release, "Cool To Live" track. Inspiring. There were so many inspiring talks. We met so many amazing people, with something to say.  Tedx Manhattan had over 608 MILLION media impressions, over 17,000 computers tuned into the livestream, over 20 million social media impressions. ROCKIN'!

HIPHOP GREEN DINNER 2015 TOUR

Over the last seven years POAGP & GOING GREEN LIVING BLING organizations has grown our Hip Hop Green Dinner model into an experience that engages and motivates young people and their families to make healthy choices in their lives. We have found that perfect line between entertainment and education, with real world and hands on applications. To date we have served over 4000 youth and families delicious plant based meals. This year, we plan on expanding our program by touring the country celebrating Health & Wellness on the first Plant Based Hip Hop tour in history! The 10th Element of Hip Hop Tour will reach more than 35,000 youth and families! If you are a sponsor, community organization or interested in being a part of the 10th Element of Hip Hop Tour.

 OUR SCHOOL CURRICULUM

“The Produce Section” is an award-winning, Eco-HipHop curriculum, produced by 2013 Denver Westword Mastermind award-winner Dj Cavem Moetavation, featuring collaborative works with artists that work in the sustainability and health field. This curriculum introduces healthy plant-based recipes, the six steps to community organizing and leadership, green job development, urban organic farming, holistic health care. “The Produce Section” serves as a continuation of the Going Green Living Bling curriculum, taught to youth sparking intergenerational converstation on the  subjects of holistic health, quality food access, and HipHop (Higher Inner Peace, Helping Other People aka Health Inside People, Health Outside People).

Last year, we at Going Green Living Bling impacted 10,000 students with our Ecohiphop workshops with great success. Demand is high, and the need is greater, so this year we are doubling the reach with our Culinary Concerts and summer workshop series.

"The kids were all telling their families about the Culinary Concert at dismissal and I asked several the next day how they rated the show on a scale of 1-10 and they all said 10! So THANK YOU for providing and creating something different AND positive:)"            -Daria M.-Director of Culture and Family Engagement- La Cima Elementary Charter School, Brooklyn, NY

This years EcoHiphop donations will be funding Going Green Living Bling.  Our Ecohiphop workshops are key to providing ongoing engagement in the areas of environmental awareness, sustainability, green jobs, organic gardening, culinary wellness, and holistic entrepreneurialism. Currenlty, we are targeting schools that do not have the budget for supplies to support our workshop.

Check out one of  the Going Green Living Bling Summer Camp projects, "Brown Rice and Broccoli".
Our goal is to raise $10,000. The funds will be allocated to production of the EcoHipHop album/award-winning curriculum, “The Produce Section” to give to each of our students. As a part of the curriculum, students will participate in our hands on interactive ecohiphop workshops. We will provide all necessary tools  (gardening tools, organic seeds, supplies, educational printed materials and assesments, books, art supplies, produce for juicing, cooking supplies).

Check out our Sacred Geomety and Cymatics workshop with one of our 8th grade classes.

We really need as much support as possible from the community on this mission to bring  a fresh approach to environmental awareness, organic gardening, and culinary wellness to inner-city youth.
