Hi Everyone!
As you know high school dances (homecoming,sadies and prom) are a big deal and are some of the most cherished and memorable times of high school. However, it’s important to remember not everyone gets to live these experiences because of disabilities. As most of you may know I’m an Ambassador for a company called Wish Upon a Teen. Wish Upon a Teen is a non profit organization that helps children with long term illnesses (cancer, spina bifida etc) feel more like "normal" "typical" teenagers and helps them participate in the milestones that high schoolers get to achieve.
Once a year Wish Upon a Teen host an event called "Evening of Dreams". Wish Upon a Teen stages an annual gala prom event for teens unable to attend the event at their own schools due to illness and hospitalization. They provide the children with free attire, hair and makeup. Just another addition to this fabulous night to make it a “night to remember!
Over the last couple years, these teens have really touched my heart. In result, I will be singing at this lovely event and I ask you to sing along with me. It would really mean a great deal to both the wonderful teens and myself if you could help us raise money to make their night extra special.
