Earthquake, Belukar staff homeless

On 5 August 2018 a massive 7.0 earthquake hit Lombok and the Gili Islands.
We are still waiting for confirmation that all of Belukar's staff and their families are OK. For those staff we know about, we have people on the ground in Lombok ferrying food and water to them and their families...but we're not even scratching the surface of the relief that is required.
Many of our staff have lost their homes and, along with thousands of others, are now stuck in make-shift evacuation camps without access to food or water.
Our manager, Dewi, has messaged from one of these camps saying "we are speechless and one thing in our minds which we are so lucky that we are not losing our family member. House or goods can be bought we can work and earn money. But no one can buy our soul or return the death....For us, we cannot expect anything, we appreciate whatever help coming for us"!
A powerful message and our priority continues to be to try and assist Dewi and all Belukar staff as much as possible. All funds received to this Go Fund Me page will be withdrawn by Sarah Best (Owner at Belukar Villas, Gili Trawangan) and used to buy medical supplies, food and water which will be delivered directly to our local staff currently located in evacuation camps in Lombok and then to buy building materials to rebuild our local staffs' homes.
***none of the money donated to this page will be used to pay salaries and will be solely for emergency relief and to assist our local staff in rebuilding their lives***
