Rose Park Community Ctr - New Hope

What: Vision to open 2nd location for Earth Community Garden & Food Pantry in an historic building in
Rose Park (Salt Lake City), UT. 

Who would benefit: Residents and community members in the Rose Park and Fair Park neighborhoods of Salt Lake City, UT. Help us create a food pantry, community garden, continuing education classes, temporary work spaces to rent, inclulding a local business incubator space, a large event space to rent, as well as outreach programs to individuals looking to travel along the road to self reliance.  

Food pantry will be open to all who want it, and those beneficiaries will be encouraged to pay it forward in their communities in their own capacities, to foster sense of stewardship, independence, and a good community- building ethic. 
 
What Your Money Would Be Used For: Your generous donation would be used to start the needed clean-up, renovations, and improvements to this beautiful, historic building.  Clean-up includes hazmat internal spray down, bio-hazard removal, abatement, ADA/ handicap compliance, tool rental to prepare the grounds for 64 individual garden plots. 

Regular clean up of debris and sweeping indoors, etc. will be done by volunteers, who will donate their time and energy. We thank them for their contribution!  And we thank you for your donation and contribution to our dream. 

How Soon Do We Need the Money? The money needs to be received at your earliest convenience, because the first stages of the community center have already started. Our goal: To provide a safe, healthy space for people who share common values of work and community to come together and improve as individuals, and improve as a large community group.  We improve our community as we share and work together!
