HELP TO SAVE SHANYNA ISOM'S LIFE
THANKS FROM THE BOTTOM OF MY HEART SHANYNA ISOM

Please, give this family a break. If it's not abundantly obvious by now, their constant need is FUNDING. Let's imagine something. Imagine both of us right now spend 10 minutes to take out a check, write $1--plus three or four zeros--and then do something really outside us: give it to them. If you wish, even go really off the deep end and try that more than once. Shanyna then withdrawls the amount pretty quickly to pay for medical supplies and travel costs. That provides relief and the key to her next trip for specialist treatments. And you leave knowing you did the right thing. As a fellow donor, this scenario is not unrealistic; it's what happens. Because how much does catastrophic illness cost? And if your keratosis-whatever illness was also poorly characterized, needing travel to smart specialists EVERY MONTH for half a decade, out-of-pocket, how much is that? Add it up: plane tickets, lodging, medical pads, missed income, living arrangements, FIGHTING INSURANCE, etc. We'd "donate" ten times that to ourselves in an instant if we had some devastating illness and infection stabbing our bodies with a rusty knife. If we believe enough to write down "Both lives have equal value," then we can live it by buying plane tickets or lodging for someone else, just as we've often done for ourselves, or paying someone else's medical bill. Anyone's. I've known about this family for a few years. But it took some time before a more significant donation anonymously. Their story is in the Fall 2012 newsletter on the Johns Hopkins dermatology web site. This GoFundMe page is linked from the Memphis WMCTV report and video from Sep 10, 2014, same day this page was created. The Memphis University newspaper had mentioned their fundraising on Jan 30, 2013. They have been interviewed on CNN around Dec 23, 2012, and news reports even mentioned donating some months of care (thank you kind CNN people!). Discovery had a documentary (though overstating the wonders of Vitamin A). The Young Turks had a YouTube video with 3 MILLION VIEWS. Google show it. The GoFundme total so far ($14K) helped fund trips. It excludes some significant offline donations in 2015, but it is some indication of funding levels going forward. That's significant, but realistically, with all the publicity, is less than the cost for ONE PERSON to renovate an average nice kitchen (about $20K). So imagine what is possible with few people or with many. Yes, it would be nice if those wealthier or more numerous (looks around) just decided in 10 minutes to do the right thing and write off all their debt and pay every medical bill. That is a dream, but this is real: just one person of modest means substantially improves their livelihood, and a few do a lot. You know that person very well, because each of us is that person. Is it right for the sick to beg and beg? Seriously? If no, there's something we can do immediately on our own initiative to fix this, one person at a time. Some donate monthly. Look, someone recently donated $500 here (thank you whoever-you-are kind stranger!). I'll double it. Who will again DOUBLE that? What are your concerns? Please share. The situation is not OK. How does it get fixed now? What will happen to this family if they don't receive substantial donations this year? Next month? Painful nights praying to Soneone? At least. We know He takes the side of the afflicted and sees all we do. The life of this former "criminal justice major," calls out for justice, illness or not. Unless... voices, including ours, say words like Job 29, "I was a father to the needy; I TOOK UP THE CASE OF THE STRANGER." But this is no stranger but your neighbor in this thing of ours called the USA. Look through their glasses, pay your entire salary to anyone in need, just because you can, once in a lifetime, until it starts to feel uncomfortable, and then imagine it does not end, year after year. Your own roof is crushing you while thousands stand and watch or can't hear. That is their "struggle." These thoughts are my own. As a donor, watching this GoFundMe thing go on nearing two years is like a "broken record," broken record (look up that term). That's until we realize and say, WE CAN FIX IN A MOMENT WHAT THEY HAVE STRUGGLED FOR YEARS. It is serious: some woman, individual, daughter, sister, PERSON here in our city Memphis LIVES THIS vividly today and needs you. It is not OK. That's my attempt to convey. Can we make 2017 a great year for them? Yes we can. Their problem is not just illness but FUNDING. This letter is on your desk. Only you know if 10 minutes from now if you'll feel you've done the right thing and something appreciated to just stop this will be in their account. And it's hard to ask things, so let's respect them.
So as me and Shanyna talked about the situation she is facing without the help that she really needs to continue living life and try to defeat this illness is a very hard thing to do alone...Shanyna continued saying that she knew that with her not being a child that most people would look at her story and pass by and go donate to a kid....I asked her why did she feel like that and she said go look up a campaign named Chauncy's Chance and you will see why....I proceeded to do so and my eyes instantly teared up....I finally see what she was talking about and it put pressure on my heart....I feel why can't people donate to both like they are to that young man.....I just don't get it and I see why Shanyna stay so stressed out....sometimes you have to put yourself in a person shoes and ask yourself what would you do if you were her....think about it!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi Shanya, I am very sorry to hear about your condition. I cannot imagine how discouraging it must have been to have so many doctors give up on you. I am so happy that you seem to have a wonderful and supportive family. That can make a world of difference. Unfortunately, many times the financial burden that a medical condition can bring is too much for one family to take on. My hopes and prayers go out to you and your family and for the doctors to find a cure for you. Stay strong! Aside from that, I have a suggestion... Could you add a link on this website for people to donate their airline miles to you? I know this wouldn't help with treatment costs, but it could at least hopefully help you to be able to travel to Baltimore at little or no cost. I wish you the best of luck
Hi Shanya I spoke with you on the phone today and you told me to Google your Nam and I did.. after reading your story and seeing your pictures.. you truly are a motivation because you have a high spirit even though you are going through so much.. and before we got off the phone you said pray for you. and you will always be in my prayers.. even tho I don't know you it wear truly a blessing to get ur call today..

Hi! I don't know if you've heard of Dr. Sebi, he's great. Here's the website for his healing products, www.drsebicellfood.com
Hi Shanya you are in my prayers and thoughts. I wanted to echo what two people said, both Johnny Thomas, Jr. and Loddies Aspect, about natural healing. I would encourage you to read African Holistic Health. It is a book on healing the body or ailments naturally. The book is written by Dr. Afrika. I never heard of Dr. Sebi but I will certainly be doing my research regarding him as I am now getting more and more into natural holistic health and moving away from modern medicine's approach. As a vegetarian who is going vegan, my body at one time was in dis-ease or distressed. And as Loddies Aspect pointed out, very acidic. I suffered from acne really bad. Of course nothing like what you are going through but I had very bad breakouts. One day I was at my dermatologist office and I was told that if I gave up meat, and added more fresh veggies, essential nutrients and alkaline water to my diet, that my acne would go away. I gave it a shot and it worked. Your body is in a distressed and dis-eased state right now. What you have, I really do believe in my heart of hearts is curable. You can be cured, if you follow a natural vegan diet regime. Reading about your story, I believe that it was the steroids that effected your body in such a horrible way that caused this condition in your body. What we fail to realize about modern medicine is that doctors "practice" medicine, they are not expertise. They are human beings and screw up all the time. We have to take control of our health by using preventative measures and this include eating healthier and proper exercise. There are plants out there that will cure dis-eases like cancer and viruses. You have a bacteria or virus in your body. You need detoxification meaning your body needs to be cleansed of the toxins/poisons in it. I would encourage you to contact a natural herbalist; visit a health food store in your community and detox yourself. There are several here in New York but I'm not sure about where there are where you live. There is an excellent Health Food Store that I go to that has a plant concoction that works for the people who try it. The owner is a vegan and I have heard great stories about her healing powers. Medical Doctors are not the answer they only create more problems. And the mere fact that they gave you this steroid and then tell you that there is nothing else they can do for you is problematic and concerning to me. It just goes to show you that they are only there to practice on the human body, not heal or cure it. I really am praying for you and that you get through this. But please heed my advice, Loddies Aspect and Johnny Thomas, Jr. I really do believe that you can be cured from this illness by moving away from modern medicine's method and using a more holistic natural approach. Do not give up. Stay strong. God bless you.
Yes Johnny is right, I am sorry that so many people have died over praying day in and day out and never does anything, you have to take charge of your life if you want to get better. Please sister, your illness is only unknown to conventional medicine which is much younger than ancient herbal treatments, visit Dr. Sebi, please hear what is being told you to you and if your belief in God is so strong, take this as a message. There is no such thing as an illness not being able to be cured, do not let them make you think like that, it is so false and only a way to get your money as you and your family suffer. Your family has spent thousands just to be in debt and get no closer to healing you sister, so a $1500 trip to the Usha Village in La Cieba, Honduras should be no stress and watch you return looking and feeling much better. I guarantee you it was the doctors drugs (experimentation) that has done this to you as well as many and even has killed many, including your diet which doctors want to act like so bad like that is not such a large part of how our bodies react to things. But first and foremost, your body is talking to you, it needs and wants to be vegan, and to purge all of those toxins and poisons that these doctors keep feeding you from it, so it is reacting to try to heal itself, you need to help it by visiting doctor Sebi. He has cured cancer, Aids, diabetes, etc. and I know this personally, I am sure what you have is certainly curable, do not fall for the okey doke. There is a cure for everything and always has been. Schedule you an appointment now and stop wasting money on these no skills doctor who give you something that will only cause something else. Here is Dr. Sebi's information and all his testimonials are real and legit. http://www.drsebiscellfood.com/ His number is located on this website as well as his products, but you my sister need to visit his Village, there you will eat vegan, cleanse your body and get it back to alkaline, right now it is highly acidic. Alkaline just means balance. Go back to nature especially when conventional medicine continues to disappoint you, you are nothing but a guinea pig to them. Love and Peace to you my sister, I really hope you take this chance, get up with Dr. Sebi
She needs to getup with Dr. Sebi. Pronto. He has cure all major diseases and this would be no problem for him. Look him up. Dr. Afrika can help her as well. In order to get the healing we need, we have to go back to nature. The Creator put everything on this earth that's natural to be used to help us. We can't depend on meds which are made by man. We need herbs made by God, put here to help us. Please pass this message to this beautiful sister.
Shanyna, remember that Jesus paid for it all with his life and by His stripes, you are healed - just believe it and receive it.
"Death and Life are in the power of the tongue." Anything is possible with God including health and healing; it's free! Shanyna watch and listen to: Mass Prayer With Prophet TB Joshua - SCOAN 12.10.2014 and believe that you will be healthy - "heal-thy self." Then, watch and listen to "Be Blessed" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HZ6TdNh6p08 with Bishop Paul Morton and watch God change things. (Be healed! In the name of Jesus, Amen.)
I heard your story via some news story linked on facebook. Amazing. How horrifying to be unique in your illness! I can't imagine the fear you must have endured. I'm glad you had your family and your faith to pull you through. I'd like to suggest and offer an edit to your story here. It might be more accessible to strangers, like me, if it wasn't in all caps and with a couple tweaks to the language. It absolutely shouldn't matter but, when we don't know you, we rely on these words to decide whether to jump in. I suspect that some potential contributors have been scared away. You can't afford that to happen! Please let me know if you are interested in those suggestions. All my best wishes! Your supporter, Sierra
As I was reading your story I remembered you saying how that the hospital you went to gave u steroids and you had a reaction to it. If I'm correct you should be able to sue them due to your unknown disease. Try to look in to that cause they are the ones that did this to you. But I'm sorry for illness my prayers will be with you. Hope everything goes well
I also am not a doctor. I also have an unexplained inflammatory disease that affects my spine. The episodes can be so bad that I have nearly died multiple times. I have tried everything the doctors recommended, done the therapies, taken the expensive meds & the EXPENSIVE tests. I had so much debt and was in so much pain every day that I was barely functioning. I finally decided to try anything to fix myself. I started by eliminating chemical products from my diet-sodas, premade foods with preservatives, flour anything. Next I started eating a lot more fruits & veggies-organic as much as I can afford, along with lean proteins. I started juicing every day. After a couple months I realized I wasn't taking my meds anymore. Normally I would wake up crying in pain in the middle of the night. I had to lay flat & not move. I would be bedridden for weeks. Since I changed my diet, I have only taken my meds 1 time & that was nearly a year ago. I am 90% pain free without ANY meds in my system & it did also help me lose about 20lbs (a bonus). I'm not perfect at avoiding the trigger foods, but I have been able to maintain my eating & reduced pain lifestyle for over a year and a half. While these changes may not help your specific condition, they for sure can't hurt it.
I have to disclaim this as I am not a doctor, and I only convey anecdotal information. Make sure to consult your physician about the potential health risks with adopting a diet as described below before doing so. Have you considered the GAPS diet? It focuses on repairing damage to one's intestines and bowels that cause what is called "leaky gut syndrome". I'm not a doctor. All I can say is my wife had eczema, an autoimmune disorder. It started on her hands, and over about a year or two, worked its way all the way up to her shoulders. She was in constant pain and distress. Three months after doing GAPS, she describes her eczema as "under control" and "much better". The GAPS protocol is about removing irritants and types of food from your diet that can injure your bowels and intestines, and give those vital organs a chance to heal from possible small punctures and other wounds that leak toxins your body wants to get rid of back into your circulatory system. There are no products or books that you must buy. You prepare food from your grocery store, but it might be different things than you currently eat, and definitely prepared differently. The GAPS diet starts out with a lot of bone broths you make yourself, and boiled meats and vegetables. All grains are eliminated. The diet has different phases where you can move past boiled meat to grilled meat. You start the morning with a glass of water at room temperature, to hydrate your digestive tract, then followed by a glass of warm broth full of gelatin from the bone marrow, to coat your guts with a protective layer. But there is a lot more to it than that, please read the information below. The first link below is a page featuring a book by Dr. Natasha Campbell-McBride, the doctor who developed GAPS the GAPS diet, which I provide only to demonstrate that this diet was developed by a doctor. The other links below talk about GAPS and how you can do it without spending money on information, just by changing the foods you eat and how you prepare and eat them: http://products.mercola.com/gaps-diet/ http://www.gapsdiet.com/INTRODUCTION_DIET.html http://trinaholden.com/why-and-how-to-start-gaps/ http://nourishedkitchen.com/what-is-the-gaps-diet/
