Alpine Toyota and JCI Kootenay members are responding to the need for feminine hygiene products in schools. It seems kids these days are starting puberty younger and younger every year - and feminine hygiene product prices are increasingly extortionate. Both board officials and parents of School District 5 have identified the need for feminine hygiene products in schools. These will help schools:
- help students who have their first period in class,
- help students whose parents cannot afford feminine hygiene products,
- help teachers who want to teach with minimal classroom disruptions, and
- help students who want to learn with minimal classroom disruptions.

Our goal is to raise enough money equip every school in School District 5 with enough feminine hygiene products to respond to the hygiene needs of their students.

We want to get this up and running for the 2018/2019 school year, so that School District 5 students can be as happy as the ladies in the tampon commercials.
