Service Dog For Dylan Gingras
Donation protected
I am Dylan's mother. My husband and I adopted him through the foster system, with his 2 younger brothers, when he was 2 years old.
Tragically, Dylan has permanent brain damage as a result of decisions made by his birth mother. As his adoptive parents, we want to do everything we can to help Dylan reach his fullest potential. I am a Paramedic and my husband is an EMT. We are a typical middle-class family raising 3 young children and a $17,000 expense for Dylan's Service Dog is a huge expense for us - so we are seeking help.
We were advised that a service dog would be a calming influence and help Dylan to overcome many of his anxieties, wandering tendencies and self harming behaviors.
The service dog will come from 4Paws for Ability because their dogs are suitable for a young child like Dylan. Before we receive Dylan's new service dog, my husband, me and Dylan will undergo an intense 15 day training program.
Please click www.4pawsforability.org to learn more about this wonderful organization. The type of dog that Dylan needs is a FASD (Fetal Alcohol Syndrome) dog.
Thank you for your consideration,
