Hello Everyone, I would like to tell you all a nice story about a special young man. Dylan Zavala was a unique soul guaranteed to leaving a lasting loving impression on everyone he met.
My now 18 year old ANGEL was killed yesterday, in one of Chicago's Infamous and all too common Gun Violence Stories. Dylan not a stranger to trouble, but was working diligently to turn his life around. He was taking the initiative to reach out, spend time, and build relationships with loved ones. We are very proud of him for independently studying to complete his High School degree. He contemplated enlisting in the service to get away from the dangers here or applying to Malcom X for further education. Becoming self reliant, learning the CTA, obtaining his social security card, and applying for jobs; he was Recently hired at Portillos, he was very excited to start the following Monday. He left the world landing his first serious job!
Yesterday I was so upset at God Thinking Why/ How could he choose to take away someone "TRYING". There are people that don't even TRY and we lost one with so much potential. I feel so ashamed of even sharing that part of "MY STORY". I'm so thankful with GOD, and so ashamed I didn't see clear yesterday, but now I understand a seat opened up for one of God's main soldiers. He is someone built to take punches and still keep pushing thru, someone who no matter what life threw at him, would smile and SAY have A GREAT DAY, someone FUNNY, Someone MEXICAN & WHITE “Miklo” (LOL). There was no other SOUL on earth to fill such position as DYLAN did. Lucky Him, THANK YOU LORD for Forever keeping him Safe; He will Follow You Every Step. You are and have been the only leader!
