Jake and Brianne Dyksterhuis are a young couple who have a nine month baby girl and another child due in the spring. They just bought their first home this fall near Rose Prairie BC. On December 14th at 1 am they woke up to the realization that their house was on fire. Their was only enough time to grab their daughter who was still sleeping in their bedroom, and jump out the window in their night clothes. They lost their home, its contents and also their family vehicle. We are raising funds to help alleviate some of the financial burden they will have in upcoming days. We are thankful to God that this young family is safe and we trust their needs will be taken care of. This will assist as he will need time off work to deal with insurance companies, locating a home, making purchases of basic neccesities. E.g. clothes etc.
This is our grandson Jake and his family who lives in Fort St John. Their home was on his parents farm, Bernie and Candi Dyksterhuis. My husband and I live in Surrey BC . Jake and Brianne are currently dealing with the insurance company to purchase a replacement modular home. Candi is acting as the fund adminstrator on this account and will issue a cheque to Jake and Brianne . The money will be used to replace the carport and additions that the insurance funds will not be adequate to cover.
They are currently in a rental home supplied by the insurance company and are hopeing to be in their own home by early spring.
Any assistance is greatly appreciated.
