DXC IT School in Colombia - Building Dreams

Working in the fast-moving IT industry and leading digital transformation for our clients, it can be easy to forget that the future comes at different speeds in different parts of the world. While we have access to tremendous amounts of knowledge, there are still many places where education is a privilege.

The goal of the DXC IT School in Colombia — Building Dreams campaign, run by DXC Technology’s North and Central Europe (NCE) Employee Ambassador program, is to raise funds to build a school and provide IT equipment for the indigenous Wayuu children of northern Colombia. Anyone in DXC or externally can contribute to the fundraising.

As part of this campaign, DXC Technology has agreed to match our fundraising donations up to $5,500, for a total of $11,000. The funds will go directly to building a two-classroom school and providing IT equipment. If we exceed our fundraising goal, we will purchase more equipment and/or build an additional classroom.

In February 2019, two NCE employees will have the opportunity to travel to the Guajira region in northern Colombia to physically help construct this school.

Together, we can help build dreams and make a difference in the lives of hundreds of children.

Please note: The fundraising campaign is being in Swedish kronor (SEK), as the charity organization we are working with, Ankarstiftelsen, is based in Sweden. 50,000 SEK is approximately $5,500.
