Hey everyone!
We are the Junior Officers for DVHS. In the past years of Dougherty Valley, fundraising has always been very traditional. Our school has contacted local restaurants and asked them to give us a portion of the profits back. The restaurants usually give back 15% or less of the purchases. For example, if a student bought something for $10, our class would only get $1.50 back.
This year we are going to try something new! We are going to use GoFundMe to fundraise. Compared to previous fundraisers, GFM gives 95% of the money made back to the class! This way we can efficiently raise money to make this next year awesome.
Junior year is a very stressful year for all of our students and we want to give back to help out. However, we don't want to spend the money that we have saved for our senior year. Using GFM, we can do great things for our class. If we reach our goal of $6500 by the end of first semester, EVERY single one of our 2018 students will recieve a customized 2018 drawstring bag and a DV2018 tattoo.
