My name is Dulce, and I - along with my familia - am the proud owner of Dulceria Bakery, a cozy modern Mexican bakery in the Standish neighborhood in Minneapolis.
In the 4 months since our grand opening, we have been afortunadxs to get to know you, to bake for your celebrations & weekly visits, and to create a safer space where everyone feels en casa. From new customers to our regulars, we love to welcome you all with a big smile, fresh baked pastries & warm cafecito every day.
Why We Need Your Support
Unfortunately, last week we had a couple pipes freeze and one burst in our building due to the polar vortex that hit our state. When my mom and I walked into our bakery on Friday, our hearts sank as we saw and heard water gushing on the floor and flooding the basement.

Having already closed Wed, Jan 31 and Thur, Feb 1 due to the dangerous cold temperatures, staff was eager to bake for you. Sadly, we have had to extend our closure to repair pipes, dry out the basement, conduct major clean up and restock perishables lost in this timeframe.
Our Campaign Goals
Our priority is to pay staff for all cancelled shifts, even though insurance won’t cover most of it, we made no sales at our store, and cancelled and reimbursed paid pre-orders. We also expect repairs costs to impact us, not to mention we still have to cover our monthly expenses. And did we mention our brand new oven also needed repairs?
