Mersy’s European Dream Trip

Mersy has been an active member of her local Girls Organization for the last eight years. As her group approaches their high school years they dream of visiting the amazing places in Europe they have learned about through various classes and projects. Places such as; the Deutsches Museum the world's largest museum of science and technology, Venezia's Grand Canal, Rialto Bridge, the Colosseum, the Eiffel Tower, the Louvre, the Renaissance Art Gallery, St. Paul’s Cathedral, the London Eye and the Doctor Who Walking Tour of London.
The girls are planning a 17 day trip to Europe in the summer of 2016. They plan to visit Frankfurt, Munich, Venice, Rome, Florence, Paris and London. Each girl in the group is responsible for her own portion of the trip. The money raised will help to pay for round trip airfare, the Eurostar high speed train, 15 overnight stays in hotels, European Breakfasts and Dinners, 7 sightseeing tours, plus lunches and miscellaneous expenses.
The group has performed various volunteer services for local churches, organizations and causes. Recently they helped facilitate a school carnival, ran the snack shack for soccer games, provided support during races including offering water and bananas to participants of various Marathon Races. They also rounded up tons of old clothes, blankets and sheets to be repurposed, reused and recycled as a fundraiser.
Additionally, Mersy is a volunteer mentor at her school and finds assisting students with challenges very rewarding. She challenges herself with Tae Kwon Do classes and has been advancing in her training for the last 4 years. She has a test coming up soon, once she passes she will be one belt away from a black belt. She enjoys hiking, summer horse camps for girls and received honorable mention at a local pie eating contest. CLICK HERE!
