Hundreds of Atlanta youth will be all smiles on Christmas morning, as recipients of toys and gifts provided by DreamBIG Angel Network, a local non-profit organization. The organization’s annual toy drive raises funds and collects toys to benefit homeless youth and underprivileged families in Metro Atlanta. “Dreams Royale” Casino Night & Toy Drive will be held on Saturday, December 16, 2017 at 7:00 pm. The event will take place at the beautiful Elysium Event Center located at 1851 Hawthorne Avenue.
The annual Christmas gifting event is a family affair with humble beginnings. RySim Enterprises, Inc. and DreamBIG Angel Network Chairperson, Lynn King, has a long-standing tradition of “adopting” families for Christmas.
For nearly a decade, the King family has adamantly made Christmas gifting a reality for hundreds in need; most often using their own funds. King explains that transitioning to a more formalized event was not only seamless, but the next logical step. She states, “We structured our giving into a toy drive to increase our reach. Along with partnering with community-oriented businesses and organizations, we hope to double our efforts and reach hundreds more needy families and children this year.”
Recent reports estimate that there are more than 3,000 homeless youth in Atlanta, some of which have “aged” out of the foster care system and have no place to call home. Yet, King remains optimistic as outreach grows. “I can’t express the immense joy we experience each year, receiving countless hugs and smiles from children and families touched by the generosity of others. We continually strive to live by our credo, ‘Blessed To Be A Blessing Until All Families Have Been Blessed’.”
